Located in leafy south Belfast, this project (part of a larger one, see Private House, Private Apartment, South Belfast) involved the restoration and conservation of a significant part of a Victorian residence.
The work included: the installation of silicone injected damp proof courses, the treatment of dry rot infested walls, the replacement of a rotten timber floor and roof, repair of plasterwork to archway, re-pointing of brickwork, re-slating of existing roofs (with good salvaged and second hand slate to match) and replacement of badly rusted cast-iron gutters and rainwater downpipes (with new to match).
The work also included installation of new door opening complete with panelled doors, moulded architraves and ironmongery to match the existing doors in the residence.
